Key Factors

Favors Over

The Cardinals are a massive 9.5-point underdog in this week's game, likely leading to an extreme passing game script.
The predictive model expects the Arizona Cardinals as the 2nd-most pass-focused offense among all teams this week with a 62.9% pass rate, given their underlying tendencies and matchup dynamics.
The 7th-largest volume of plays in the NFL have been called by the Arizona Cardinals last year (a whopping 59.6 per game on average).
The pass games of both teams (including both volume and effectiveness) ought to benefit from the still weather conditions (0-mph wind) being predicted in this game, while rush volume may go down.
The model projects Michael Wilson to accumulate 6.5 targets this week, on average, placing him in the 79th percentile among WRs.

Favors Under

Based on their underlying propensities and game dynamics, the Arizona Cardinals are forecasted by the predictive model to run just 61.5 total plays in this contest: the 3rd-lowest number on the slate this week.
Opposing QBs have averaged 29.2 pass attempts per game versus the Los Angeles Chargers defense last year: 5th-fewest in the NFL.
As it relates to protecting the passer (and the impact it has on all passing offense stats), the offensive line of the Arizona Cardinals profiles as the 4th-worst in football last year.
With a poor 0.00 yards-after-the-catch (YAC) (1st percentile) last year, Michael Wilson stands as one of the leading WRs in the game in the NFL in space.
The Los Angeles Chargers pass defense has conceded the 3rd-lowest Adjusted Completion% in the NFL (59.7%) versus WRs last year (59.7%).
