Key Factors

Favors Over

The New York Giants will be rolling out backup quarterback Jameis Winston in this week's contest, which generally means fewer pass attempts and more rushes.
Our trusted projections expect the Giants to call the 6th-most plays on offense among all teams this week with 65.4 plays, accounting for their underlying strategic approach and game dynamics.
The Giants have called the 7th-most plays in football this year, averaging a staggering 60.8 plays per game.
This year, the deficient Saints defense has surrendered a staggering 75.4% Adjusted Completion Rate to opposing teams: the 5th-biggest rate in football.
As it relates to safeties in covering pass-catchers, New Orleans's safety corps has been atrocious this year, projecting as the 2nd-worst in the NFL.

Favors Under

The leading projections forecast the Giants as the 5th-least pass-heavy offense among all teams this week with a 54.4% pass rate, accounting for their underlying traits and matchup dynamics.
Our trusted projections expect the Giants to be the 7th-least pass-heavy offense in the NFL near the end zone (in a neutral context) right now with a 53.3% red zone pass rate.
The leading projections forecast Jameis Winston to attempt 33.0 passes in this week's contest, on balance: the 10th-fewest among all quarterbacks.
Opposing quarterbacks teams have been wary to lean on the pass against the Saints, averaging the 6th-fewest attempts in the NFL (a measly 30.8 per game) this year.
With a feeble 58.5% Adjusted Completion% (10th percentile) this year, Jameis Winston ranks as one of the least accurate passers in the league.
