Analysis

Key Factors

Favors Over

This week's line implies a passing game script for the Saints, who are -3-point underdogs.
Given their underlying propensities and game dynamics, the Saints are expected by the projection model to call 67.3 plays on offense in this contest: the 4th-most among all teams this week.
The 7th-largest volume of plays in football have been run by the Saints this year (a staggering 61.7 per game on average).
The air attacks of both teams (including both volume and efficiency) figure to benefit from the calm "weather" conditions (as in no wind) inside this dome, while ground volume may fall-off.
Our trusted projections expect Chris Olave to total 10.1 targets in this contest, on balance, ranking him in the 94th percentile among wideouts.

Favors Under

The projections expect the New Orleans Saints to be the 9th-least pass-heavy offense in the league (context-neutralized) right now with a 59.9% pass rate.
This year, the fierce Steelers defense has surrendered a paltry 59.3% Adjusted Completion Rate vs. opposing wide receivers: the 4th-lowest rate in the league.
The Steelers safeties profile as the 10th-best collection of safeties in football this year in defending receivers.
