Key Factors

Favors Over

At the present time, the 2nd-most pass-centric team in football (65.9% in a neutral context) according to the predictive model is the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The leading projections forecast the Steelers to call the 4th-most total plays on the slate this week with 67.3 plays, given their underlying play style and game dynamics.
The Steelers have called the 10th-most plays in the NFL this year, totaling a massive 58.8 plays per game.
The passing attacks of both teams (in terms of both volume and effectiveness) ought to benefit from the still "weather" conditions (i.e. no wind) inside this dome, while run volume may fall-off.
The leading projections forecast Aaron Rodgers to throw 38.0 passes in this week's game, on average: the 6th-most out of all quarterbacks.

Favors Under

This game's spread indicates a rushing game script for the Steelers, who are favored by 3 points.
Opposing offenses teams have been wary to test the pass defense of the New Orleans Saints, totaling the 10th-fewest attempts in the NFL (a measly 32.7 per game) this year.
The New Orleans Saints defense has excelled when opposing pass-catchers have gotten into space, surrendering an average of 3.29 yards-after-the-catch this year: the 3rd-fewest in the NFL.
